while walking in the creek bed taking pictures i turned around and these 2 guys were following me with spears in hand. they were silent watchdogs. one never knows who or what will approach a stream. please note that i asked the people in charge if there was a safe place to walk. so i did have permission for my little trek. i had set off in search of birds. thanks in advance for any comments. .....enjoy!

Jen, I can feel the tension. Think you wasn't nervous as you captured still those Massai tribesmen. Think those scenes are rare at Caedes. Wonderful image. Regards, Cornelius

Kebob? Shiiish.....! A wonderful sight, Jen. Those men certainly don't concern themselves with camouflage by wearing those bright red thaubs (robes?), but then with spears in hand, (and I'm sure they use them well), why would they need to? lol
I love that you are quick to take your opportunities for a photo as soon as they become apparent. Great colors in the whole shot too.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Doesn't look like very friendly terrain. I think in that area you'd rather have them around might keep away the lions or crocs.

I just always have the feeling if you wander around Africa by yourself, you'll probably end up dead sooner or later. Doesn't seem like a place to go without a buddy and a big sharp stick.

Luxurious colors and fasinating details for a "story" picture. Thanks Jen.

Wow, this is really neat. I love the colors of their robes. They really stand out with that beautiful land around them.

Wow...I guess I didn't realize what danger you might be in over there, or perhaps as has been suggested they were only trying to protect you. I'm glad they seem to know the difference between a camera and a gun!! I'm surprised they wear these bright clothes. Somehow I expected that people would try to blend into the background as do the other living things there. At any rate, it's a most interesting picture, and of course it's saved!!
