rainbows are pretty common on the island of kauai. sometimes it's possible to predict where you'll see them. i thought this was a good example of a late afternoon rainbow. enjoy! mahalo for any comments you might make.
What an unbelievable shot, beautiful! I've been to Hawaii a few times, and never saw a rainbow, but then I've never been to Kauai. The colors, angle, really everything about it turned out perfect. I'm very glad you posted it, nice work!
Beautiful colors Jen. I love the rainbow. You did good. I can't keep up with you. Africa, Arizona and Hawaii. What a life you lead. Stop by my gallery sometime and say hello.

This image shows the saying is true ... "there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow" ~ beautiful golden sand beach & the rainbow is amazing. Outstanding capture Jen + faves.
There are lots of rainbows on Maui, too, but I've never come close to capturing one as well as this. You can see from one end almost to the other where the leprechaun is hiding his pot of gold. Well done!
Wow, and I thought I was doing good by seeing half a rainbow in my backyard today. But THIS is magnificent!! What a most gorgeous photo! To have the sea and the sand and the sky PLUS a rainbow of many colours..that has got to be the ultimate to go thru in one sitting. I would love to be there and see that. This is one of the most beautiful scenic views I've ever seen. Thank you so much, I will enjoy it on my desktop..Verena
Do not wait; the time will never be "just right."Start where you are and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.
A dark sea, white frothed waves, a golden sunlight beach, a dramatic sky, and a wonderful rainbow. All those perfect ingredients make this to a great image Jen! Excellent!

Is this real or a manip? I don't see any rain or sea spray thay would cause a rainbow. Basically it's a beautiful wallpaper image and a joy to view. Well done.

It's a beautiful shot! The contrast of the rainbow against the dark cloud in the sky background gives it an outstanding presence and command. I would include a little less shoreline and a little more sky. Still, a superb shot! Thx for posting it!
Whoa now thats a stunner. What a perfect shape in that one. And you should crop some from the bottom. too much beach takes attention away from the rainbow.
Hello Jen....This is a beautiful photograph with superb light conditions, glorious sky-colour and sea colour...Truly a terrific capture! Compliments...Keep up the good work Jen....All the best...Mick.

Jen, Great Shot - Kauai is one of my wife and myself's favorite places on the planet. We've been there twice and were planning on returning last month, but my wife's OB had other plans (we are expecting twins in late May) and she was put on bed rest. Once things calm down, I'll try to get some of my Kauai pix posted.
Oh wow! I love this picture. I've been to the islands once and I miss it. Saw a rainbow on a hillside from a little rainshower, but I didn't have a camera. :(
