A wonderful and unusual shot of one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. It looks breath-taking Jen. We have two lots of friends who visited The States in the last few years and made special trips to see the Grand Canyon. For both couples it was foggy and they hardly saw anything!

The truth is, you really should see My Gallery.
The little bit of snow really adds to the image. Fantastic depth & the colors look perfect. I'm hoping to visit the Grand Canyon next spring. Excellent capture Jen. Faves!
Instead of using all kind of superlatives for this image, can better abbreviate my comment by saying that I "Saved & Faved' this fabulous post Jen.

This is the kind of overall clarity I am looking for Jen. It is perfect. I have posted a Focus question here and hope to figure it out some day. Maybe I just need a new lens. It is driving me crazy. This has to be faved because it is the type of shot that initially led me to your gallery.
As I said then and repeat now, it has the John Wayne and John Ford feel to it. I love it.
What I really like is the clarity and detail of the striations in the rock wall. I grew up in the Northwest and, like most who lived there, I've been to the Grand Canyon. I think it is an experience to go there, but it is also quite wonderful to recall one's personal vision via a great detailed photograph like this.
When I open my window and look outside I always have the same clear view like in this photo...except for the landscape!
Fantastic view Jen, I'll park this on my desktop!
I don't think anyone could hold a candle to this beauty! Phenomenally wonderful shot, Jen. Including the greens and the snow just show us that it is not just a place of beautiful rock formations, but also other natural landscape elements too. The distant rock formations appear to be part of a large army standing in place. So wonderfully composed!

Jen, I am going to have to start calling you the "Queen of the Desert Landscape." Then I have to fave this, then I have to lift a glass (of Pepsi) to your sense of style!
Love it!

Even if I am late, I'm glad I got here. I love the Grand Canyon and even though it's been a while since I've been there....well, it looks like it hasn't changed all that much! Interesting take with the green and the snow!
