saw this beauty while walking the battlefield tour at Yorktown, Va. the french were indeed our allies when we fought the british in 1781. i thought this cannon was exquisite in the decorative arts. no doubt it has been "fixed up"...........................................at first i was going to upload it in our "general" gallery but it seems to be no more. then i thought of the fireworks gallery, then the trains gallery and ended up in this place because the cannon is mounted on wheels...............hmmmmmmm. thanks for any comments. ENJOY!

Love the decorative detail on the cannon. Wonderful detail & perfect angle. Very nicely captured Jen ... I would have loved touring this battlefield.

Is this a 35mm or digital Canon Jen. Just kidding. Nice unusual shot. I think they used one of these in this battle.

Nice post.

Wow very ornate work on the cannon. Good detail in your shot and like the perspective of looking down the barrel. Like this one!

Great shot and I too like the angle. But then I would not want to be standing in front of the business end either!!

I guess being shot from a cannon might be considered a form of transportation! They must have had a lot of time on their hands back in the day...great decorations. I wonder if in the heat of battle they were able to enjoy it!!!!

Well, you could probably, if you still care to move it, place this in "still life". Great POV on this shot, as though this were an old fashioned "first-person shooter". Seems to be a bit of extra cyan in the palette. other than that, looks great.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
