Hello Jen...This is a very good closeup showing plenty of detail and colour in the these huge plants....The clear background and the simplicity of ths shot makes the picture standout.....Well done....All the very best to you Jen..................................................Mick.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . It is the largest and one of the slowest growing of all cacti, reaching up to 15 meters high and living for several centuries. Plants can weigh up to 8 tons, partly because of the large amount of water the stems can hold - after rainfall the cactus can absorb hundreds of gallons in a short time. The saguaro may be only 6 inches high after 10 years, and the characteristic branched appearance is reached only after around 80 years.
The cactus appears as if someone is hid inside it and so there are hands to it too. Nice capture. I Liked how you chose to capture the sky instead of the ground. but I do wonder y?
