Yep. I was in Coney Island this past month. :) It was close to sunset so I got some nice colours shining off the metal. BTW, it's not really an island.

Not true...It actually once was a barrier island, but got filled in @ certain sections over one hundred or so years ago when wealthy carnival / entertainment empressarioes envisioned Coney as a beach resort area...

Nice view of the WW, one of four remaining designated landmarks in the area, with the Cyclone, the inactive Parachute Ride, and Nathan's Hot Dog Stand (official landmark status applied for) being the other three...Faved...

Thanks.

I thought it was odd that they would name it Coney Island but it was part of the main land. So much 'land' was added on to shore line all around NYC that I'm not surprised in the least.

Did You Know? - Nathan's had been shut down since Sandy and they opened up again on Memorial Day with a oyster bar. :)

They should name this ride "The Wheel of Barf". Well at least for me.

Why the 'Wheel of Barf'? Hate heights? :)

"Nathan's Famous" in Coney Island. "Nathan's" is bringing back the famous clam bar which was there up until the 1950's.
