This is one of many observation decks overlooking the creek at our local community park. While we were there, I spotted numerous birds including a nesting pair of Baltimore Orioles and a red winged blackbird. The geese were upstream loudly proclaiming their territory making honking sounds. As you can see, there is a nesting platform that awaits a mating pair of Ospreys but none came to take up residency this year. This shot was captured on a recent visit to my favorite local community park at 5:00 p.m. - hope you like it!!!!

This looks like a beautiful place to capture some bird and nature shots, Laura. If the little alien turns around, he might see something. Well done!

A gorgeous and lush scene, really like the rich colours and detail, plus the wonderful lighting and shadows. Looks like a beautiful place to walk and take in the peace and quiet watching the wildlife

Laura, your narrative would have been enough for me to get an idea of the beauty there, but now I see your picture, my imagination is crystallized now. Natural beauty at its best. I love such scenes very much!

Yes, I certainly like it Laura for the following reasons: The lighting and shadows, the fresh green grass extending all the way back, the row of trees at the back, the overhanging branch and the pretty sky.

This looks like a terrific spot Laura with informational signage and viewing glasses definitely a step up from most community parks - beautiful spot and capture.
