On August 13, at 5:30 p.m. EST, I checked my thermometer on the front porch 108 degrees here in Jersey - can you believe it - no relief in sight until middle of next week!!!!

Wow Laura, be sure you hydrate well with that kind of heat - It's been very hot here and the humidity has really been bad but not 108F. I need an iced tea after looking at this!

We are at a higher latitude than Jersey Laura. We had 54 F yesterday. People are grumbling about a bad summer. A high pressure is sending polar air towards us. Hope that needle of yours has started moving anticlockwise. Good one!

Oh my goodness, it's been hot here also but not quite 100F, I love the heat but not the humidity that normally comes with it. Great shot and thanks for keeping the heat going, :-)

Have lived up north, I remember 105 degree days in the summer. The thing about here in Florida is, it doesn't get that hot, mainly mid 90's but it stays that way for 7 months! We don't start cooling down until late October and then it's still in the low 80's. There's a short time when you can open your windows in February and sometimes a few flakes of snow.
