Re: Previous posting - All Ablaze - Pulled this image from my files that I took in April 2020 on the grounds of the monastery - It's springtime and the leaves are brilliant red - looks as though Kathy has identified the tree as a Japanese maple - Thanks Kathy!!!

This is a good one Laura - you can clearly see the structure of the leaves which are unique on Japanese maples as opposed to our usual sugar maples.
