I'd suggest keeping one (or more) apples close together as one focal point. Also try and do it with a colored background, I think less light would be enough though. It also seems a tad bit grainy. It does make me hungry though!
I like the idea of the apples, but 4 is a bad number....never do evens because it's well....too even ! I also agree about the white background, in this case it doesn't work too well as it picks up the shine off your Granny Smith in the foreground & reflects it as glare. But I love the simplicity of your idea, I think that's terrific as well as the beautiful contrasting colors of the apples. Am looking forward to more !

I, too, feel that the number and the open space keep the image from being inviting .. the high-key lighting is interesting and has its place in photography .. but still-lifes are, possibly, better served with a darker light
since you are looking for ideas involving our fruity friends from afar .. maybe this .. it's darker, and invites you in a little better (take an english-to-apple dictionary with you)
I really like this one. It is a little even, but sometimes even is ok. Especially with that title, it makes sense. Thay look so juicy, and and ... nice, and ....oh! I WANT AN APPLE!!
Great picture and great angles. Only thing I see is one apple is upside down and the rest are right side up. That would bother me but then again a slight difference can add a lot to a picture.
