Decided to follow up on hernoor's comments... coudn't change the right cut off portion of the petal but lighting and other petal could be fixed... hope this is better. Oh and unfortunately there is a little distortion but I don't think it's too bad. :)

I've looked at both and I like where you wanted to go with it, but, the overall comp is a little off. Sunny, sunny day..tough shot to begin with. This one looks a little washed out now. How many snaps did you take of this beauty? You should've got at least 6 to 8 as this ones a little low and to the right...but all is not lost. A little tweak in PS and a little manip and a little magic and this could be stellar!! Keep'em coming...would luv to see more!!

The color's a lot better on this one - maybe you could adjust the gamma / color balance on the petals to get them more pink. I also have to take around 20-30 shots to get a half-decent one =/ The composition here looks better than the previous one. I'd also like to see more!

Very cool! I like this one better than the first. On sunny, bright days, it works best to adjust the brightness on the camera itself. I don't know the technical term for it. On my camera its a little button and it says "Av" with a +/- sign on it. Its especially good for flower shots, because it brings out the dark colors and pigments more and makes it all look much more rich.

Much better with that petal taken out on the left. A much cleaner image. A little saturation maybe, to intensify the color of the day lily a bit & Emily this would be a real winner ! You're really coming along !
