My first image, Worn, works very well in the photo essay in which it was a piece. However, as many have commented, standing alone it wasn't as successful. So here is another image revealing more of the cleat itself... Hope this one works better for you all. Let me know your thoughts.

It all comes down to what you were going for in your photo essay. Nothing else really matters and no comments here can hope to be totally on the same page with that. You do some fine work.

I totally understand about what you said about the earlier picture, and that was my fault. I should have taken it as a part of the greater whole essay, then I might have though differently about it. This one is more recognizeable, but therebye, with the rest of the essay might not have as much artistic value, as you said. I understand.
