Great capture of this guy. I have only read about the Kingfisher, but now, thanks to the world of caedes.net, I have seen one thru your eyes! This bird looks rather inquisitive yet pleasant. The background is perfect to enhance the colors of the bird. Crisp, clean capture. Thanks :~)

this works _because_ not despite the kingfisher is in the center of the pic
the framing of the bird by the rest of the scene does the work of balancing the image off center just enough without taking your attention from the bird.

This is an excellent picture of one of my favorite birds. The soft green really enhances the blue of the kingfisher.Excellent sharpness and depth of field. Glad to see someone close to home (Bay City, MI) posting great captures.
