Great shot !! I really like it, tho' the only problem I have is with the window frames lower left hand corner. Wish they'd been cropped out as I find them to be distracting from the mood the image conveys....too modern a touch, I think. Still, a very nice photo in total & worthy of high marks.

I tend to agree about the window frames in the lower corner but otherwise a real beauty...that crimson color looks so good with the grey stone...great shot.:Pat.

I took a photo of similar leaves the other day and I did NOT know what it was..a Sumac eh? Im glad to know the name..I used to think it was a poisonous plant? I agree with the fact that those windows are a distraction.Funny how we can get so involved with a photo that we often dont notice those kinds of things. I took a pic of a yellow stucco front doorway, never realizing that right there on the steps was a rolled up water hose!!! Til someone mentioned it to me. Of course its very realistic...but the pic is better without the "clutter" lol...but I sure like this photo of yours..

Wow... You know, this is one of the few images on caedes that really evoke the sense of desolation in my mind. This is going on my desktop right now and not leaving until winter... I love everything: the stones, the colors, the absence of sun... Thank you very much. When I'm hiking in our Virginia hills the most satisfaction I get is when I find something abandoned... Because then I know that someone built that place, someone cared about it... Places like that tell stories. But, enough rantin'. Thank you.
