I took this image yesterday of Mount Rushmore. It was a little grainy looking because it was snowing so I turned it into a time "era" piece. It was absolutely a peaceful and beautiful day up there. I hadn't been up to the monument in several years and found it to be very inspiring all over again. Through the lense of the camera thing seem to come to life for me -the old or common place surroundings become fresh and new. Enjoy

Thanks John for your comments on our Presidents. I wish I had a little better zoom so I could a little more detail. When it is snowing thought there isn't much one can do about the big flakes. I live where we really celebrate the presidents all year through with statues of most of them being on display in our downtown area of about 10 square blocks. I did take most of the statues yesterday so will work on a compilation to post them here. It'll take some time. Again much thanks, Jodie

As many times as I've seen the faces I never tire of it! I've never been in the winter..I bet it is peaceful and a lot less tourists to bump elbows with! Love what you did with this shot Jodie! It does give an aged look to it! Nice job!

WHAT IS MAN WITHOUT THE BEASTS? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of the spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected. ~Chief Seattle VISIT MY GALLERY
