These angels belonged to my Nana, every year they would be out on display. I was always mesmorised by them and would play with them for hours. When I had my first daughter, Nana gave them to me. I have treasured them ever since, even more so since she passed away two years ago. You can tell how well they were played with by their dirty faces lol. I know I should clean them but it seems a shame to wash away all the children who have played with them over the years.

They are gorgeous! I have always found that it is the little things that serve as the best reminders of loved-ones and times gone past. In our family it's the fairy that always used to be on the Christmas Tree at home and is now on my big sister's tree every year. A beautiful reminder of Christmas Past and of your Nana.

It's the memories of the days when we were small that I think help us through the current holidays and also create the template we use to forge a Christmas to remember for members of our families who are children.

Thanks for sharing a part of your past with us. These represent very special moments.

Great narrative and photo. You are special person Jo who enjoys life and also enjoys memories. Was Nana your grandmother? I can tell you're passing tradition on to your daughters. Excellent post Jo.

Merry Holidays

Good subject , but i would avoid using a flash ( you got harsh shadows now ) and use a tripod or stable surface with the timer on your camera .

Hi Jo....

My oh my...how very sweet this image is....these darling little angels bring to us their beautiful songs of Christmas....what a tender loving message they bring as well....

Your touching story about how they came to be a very precious 'keepsake' to you is simply lovely...and you will treasure them for all of time...of that I am certain....

Also..not wanting to wash away the tiny finger prints...that held them so close...on that special day of Christmastime...is a memorable pleasure to me as well...very touching indeed....

Many thanks to you Jo for visiting my 'Snowfall'.....Your comments are always deeply appreciated...my sweet friend...

Sorry you were unable to enjoy the snow on that day...but soon...my dear...soon...it will fall....and just for you and yours....have fun...when it does....

Happy New Year to a very sweet person...who has been for me.... a dedicated fan.... thank you again Jo...
