I was going through some old pictures, when I came across this in a totally wrong album. I remeber I was taking a picture of the hostas, and I didnt notice the bee untill I uploaded the picture. Thank you for looking.x
Well, I have to confess. I did more than look. I put it on my desktop and stared at it for a while...looked at my icons...and for me with the largest size that I can upload the whole pic works well.
The Hosta leaf is beautiful. I have them growing all over in my yard, so I can appreciate what you saw here, but from a purely ascetic POV if this were mine, I would try to make the thistle (?) portion over on the right-hand side the focal point as there is where the greatest clarity resides and the most interest..just look at the detail on the "hairs" of the plants and the shine on the leaves.
And then again I could be full of it and you could crop it the other way.
Suffice it to say that you have a lot of pixels and a lot of beauty to work with here, and personally I see more than one great upload from this one shot.
Nicely done.

"Once there were brook trout...standing in the amber current...polished and torsional..on their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again." Cormac MCarthy
It looks like a bunch of insects battling the bee. The leaves brings the shot to life. Lot going on with those squiggly things sticking up everywhere. Nice photo and clarity. Happy New Year to you and yours Jo.
