Ticks Road to Rebels Cove reminded me of this picture I took in the floods of Feb 2004. The Conwy Valley was very badly hit and we went to see how bad it was. The girls didnt want to go, but I told them it was a bit of history and we wouldnt go too close. This was as far as we went before we had turned around, and is in Dolgarrog. I left the car door in so that you could see how close to the main road it was, and that the river is usually a few miles away from the road. The girls were very uneasy so we turned around and got home. Its only after when you sit down and think how silly we were to get to close to all that fast flowing water, that you realise how right the girls were. Floods

What a great picture and what a great tale it tells. Those were floods of Biblical proportions and looked very scary. I'm with the girls on this. Your narrative is really good as well.

My drive on the Road to Rebels Cove was a piece of cake compared to this. Thanks for the link, but it won't get you there. lol. The water sure looks powerful. Can't blame the girls for wanting to go home. Great post and I'm glad I stirred your memory, Jo.
