I am not sure what these are called, but I have plenty of them in my garden. The grow from a lovely grassy plant along my borders. Al hates the plant lol but I nagged to keep them. And saw these in florists being sold for a very suprisingly high price for something so abundant. Thank you for looking xx

This is a brilliant capture. The colour is spectacular. I love the contrast of colours and the open flowers along with buds. Superb!

Crocus Mia. Considered a noxious weed in some parts. We have them as border as well and fit very nicely in our garden. Nice shot.

They are also known as Montbretia and yes they are noxious weeds - in this country anyway - but they have always been a favoiurite of mine. Now you have them you will never get rid of them Jo !!

Fancy the florists using them - wonder if they pick wild ones - you could go into business providing them:)

I love the way this seems to be trying to stretch itself out of the screen.
Well done.

You don't know what these are? Gosh, I would have thought everybody knows what these are!! Except, of course, me. I've no idea!! But they are very bright and cheerful on this wet and windy night.
