Al and I went for a walk up Conwy mountain today ( yes really in all that heat lol) and passing by a huge clump of bracken we spotted this sunning itself. Its not as good as it could be, but it was actually in the middle of the bracken so we had to climb in there, and the sun was so bright we couldnt actually see the screen at the back of the camera. Sadly this doesnt show just how big it was, it was the size of a blue tit or something like that.

Very lovely Dragonfly photo,the clarity is very good,you did very well as it is not always easy to take photos when the weather is very nice,the sun can cause problems.

Well Jo, it looks plenty big for me. Do they bit, that sure would hurt if they do. Great clarity and detail of this insect. Never have seen one of these before

I too was primed to see some skin basking in the sunlight. This dragon fly will do however because it is so beautiful. A very good post Jo.
