Thought this one looked quite warm & atmospheric.. A bit of a "feel-good" pic, maybe? My mate has this view from his HOUSE.. (hence the bin) Comments please :)

Very nice, love the shadows and highlight on the gate. It could use a bit of cropping off the bottom just to remove the break in the concrete and on the left up to the tallest trees. This would also more closely follow that golden rule of thirds for composing a shot. It would also enhance the warm feeling you describe in your comment. Nice capture Johnny:-)

That captures it extremely well; the elongated shadows, the yellowing light, the wonderful contrasts of light and dark, the specs of reflection on the driveway... perfect! Great shot.

Very nice image!, Was it digital camera or scanned film or photo?
It certainly is a 'feel-good' picture, I like the texture of the road brought out by the setting sun.

I agree with trisweb's and mayne's comments above. I thnk the bin helps the shape of the light ray, it breaks it up slightly to guide the eye to the left. On first glance it didn't resemble a bin too closely. But maybe it would have been better if it weren't a bin now you pointed it out.

You have spotted a great opportunity here and come up with a stunning shot...The thing that strikes me is the long shadows which takes your eye right through the picture...Well done...All the best...Mick.

Great composition, and very dramatic color. Doesn't get any better than this!
