Walking back to our apartment after a long day's sightseeing in Venezia, we came accross this ship moored in the lagoon. Much to the annoyance of my little sister, I set up my tripod to take "yet another [whine whine]" photo. I'm glad I did, as I think it's my best shot of the trip!

Wow, you really were able to get a lot of great detail in the masts and rigging. Nice shot, worth putting up with the whine!

Brill shot, the way the light brings out all the detail is great, see it pays not to listen to a woman all the time, now matter how old, us men are right sometimes.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

Lem'me tell ya sumthin...you nailed this shot and it wasn't an easy one either. The ship's masts are lighted and captured in the most superb manner possible. I'm trying to figure out the nature of this ship. It looks like a modern ship that has been constructed to look like an old sailing ship. Excellent work and you give the viewer a lot to study and work on.

In case anyone wondered, the ship in the picture is Amerigo Vespucci the Italian navy's tall ship. You can read about her here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amerigo_Vespucci_(ship)
