I managed to find just enough ground by the winding road to take a peek at the Calaveras reservoir from up the hill. Enjoy.

A good capture JP. I like the way the tree(s) and branches created a wonderful tangle of shapes and forms. A beautiful looking background that creates a nice depth to your shot. Good job. ~Wendell

Very nice and unusual tree. I'd like to see it with leaves. LOL

Hi JP, this is one of those shots that will appeal to us tree lovers or fractal quality lovers. Cool how the tree dominates until you look at the full size image when all the details in the background also come into play.

Would you please tell that tree to move. It's blocking my view. LOL. He he. I really like the surroundings of the reservoir. Very pretty. Nice idea to get the shot through the tree. Nice work, JP.

So very beautiful! I love the filigree look to the branch/limbs that overlay the watercolours of sky and mountains, and how the branches fill the screen! Superb composition, JP! Faved + saved to enjoy longer :)

Excellent shot Jp. I love the sneak view behind the branches of those trees.
