This was taken in Cork, Ireland. It one of the entrances to a big church, probably Catholic. I guess I have two pics of churches now, which is kind of ironic considering I'm about as far from a churchgoer as one can get.
Ahh.. Beautiful!! I love it when plants start to overrun old buildings and such.. I'm not familiar with the city "Cork" though.. is it rural? You don't see many places like this in big cities..
Great shot! (now I just have to figure out where Cork is...)
Cork is in the Southwest part of Ireland. It isn't rural, it kind of industrial/blue collar Ireland. It's a sizeable city, probably the third largest in Ireland, behind Dublin and Belfast. It feels like a medium sized city. If you're going to Ireland, you could easily skip it. Go to Dublin and Galway. I didn't go to Belfast, I didnt really want to deal with Northern Ireland, what with their "Catholic cabs" and "Protestant cabs". I mean, which one would I ride in? I thought neither, and stayed away. There was a big bombing there like 2 weeks after I left, so it was for the best.
