Apop.Photofiltre.psp. The ancient Egyptians believed that the scarab or beetle to be sacred and could help them find the promised land after their death. They adorned tombs, walls, and were even found in with the mummies. Maybe they were right, who knows. This looked like a beetle in the center to me and I hope you like it. Thanks a bunch for all the great comments, they are appreciated. J

Aaahhh...oohhhhh...gaga gaga..LOL You can guess by this that I feel better and almost my normal self. I like scarabs and Egyptology. It is very striking although I hurt for this scarab, he really looks in distress. Great work as usual, John. :)

This is absolutely beautiful! I love the red, of course, but the blue just makes this image a super sight. I love the symmetry tremendously and a scarab is definitely a perfect description. I can also see this as the back of a Native American chiefs head dress.
One of your very best, John!
