i like how only the middle part of the flower is really sharp and the rest just kind of blurs away. the position of the flower in the picture also works well.

but how can you make a rainbow without a little rain?
This is a good photo... your framing isnt centered so it balances the image. the black background brings the subject into complete attention, and the speckled lighting on the flower makes it interesting. the focus could be sharper, this might be the cameras limitation, but one way to get a sharper macro like this is to use a tripod and possibly a higher f-stop like maybe f8.. unless u have a background that you want to blur with DOF, then use the lowest f-stop u can.
