With the coming of fall and the leaves turning this caught my eye in the end of the day. Sun was going down and my camera was almost out of juice, but the red could not be denied. :) Enjoy.

It's a nice red color, contrasting well with the surrounding green. I think it suffers a bit from position and lack of detail, even at 1338 X 966!

The dramatic contrast of red and green works great. The thoroughly central/square positioning of the red leaves gives no room for the eye to move across the image, decentralized is generally better. At least a gentle nod in the general direction of the principle of thirds can't hurt.

Eye catching for sure. Only minor, but I might have tweaked the contrast, to enrich the reds.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
@Visitor99 - yes i think you're right. It was a crop as the rest of the picture didn't turn out the way I hoped. Thank you!
@Mythmaker - I agree, I wish I could have cropped differently, but it was hard without getting in some elements that would have taken away from the Pic. Thanks for the input though, every bit helps!
@J_E_F - I only crop pics I take, so I could have changed that for the picture, and I've thought about it, but my theme and method for this forum is raw: as is. Meaning my personal rule for these sets of photos I'm taking this year is no manipulation except for cropping. I may re-submit this next year changed, thank you for the suggestion!
