evening shot about 8pm an hour after moonrise back at that ol' favorite Maleniec millpond. this is the same vantage point as the original EVENING STILLNESS taken a year or so earlier. Oh what a still and peaceful night it was after the showers. 25 seconds 24mm @ f8 iso800 .... I had to fight with the noise and posterisation in the near black areas next time I use iso100 d'oh! Can you see the stars in the top left ? :)

Great pic...voted on it this evening Jeremi had to give it a 10...always love when the reflection provides a clearer view than the straight on view. Jas

Both images are really wonderful. Interesting how the moon behind the cloud is distorted but almost sharp in its reflection. Nicely composed. The fog on the water adds a wonderful surreal quality to the image. anne :-)

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)

great shot Jeremi ... I dont think I would use an iso 100 as you will have to compensate the shutter speed for it ...this is very pretty ... and as far as the noise goes nothing that neat image wouldn't take care of or for that matter the blur tool in photoshop and then change the opacity of the blur...

This image has mood allll over it.

The quiet still of the night ... love it.

I must admit that with the positioning of the moon and cloud cover and your exposure time, had me thinking of some type of weather anomaly. You made me look twice to see if it was, in fact the sun instead.

The stars? Oh yes ... the piece de resistance to your image. :o)

Really great work here. Thanks for sharing a gorgeous image.
