Yes, lots of potential, Kate. Not sure what you're shooting with (camera type), but I would suggest zooming in a bit more to crop out a lot of the background. Get rid of the fence either through depth of field or angle. And use a lower aperature to blur the background and put the viewers' eye right on the flower. Of course if you're using a point and shoot, some of this might not be possible, although some have some pretty good controls on them.
