This is the nature area where I took the pics. of the wildflowers etc. There are no vehicles, hunting, or picking of flowers or any plants allowed in this area. It is supposed to be all natural, with all native plants etc. This is supposedly the way it was when settlers first arrived in the area back in the 1800's. It is sponsored by The Nature Conservancy group.

This looks like a great meadow (or should it be prairie?). I'm sure that the conservation work has allowed many species of flore and fauna to thrive. Its a great view, and I enjoyed to reading the background information too.

A beautiful shot Dan ... the tall grasses, wildflowers, & vivid blue sky makes me want to run & jump through it. I love wide open areas & I can imagine the new settlers crossing the plains in their wagon's were amazed by this view. They probably knew they found home at last. Thanks Dan for sharing this ... super great job.

What a lovely shot, Dan. I'm glad you told us about all that. It makes me feel good to know that something like this is being done in our country.

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel. -Josemaria Escriva

What a beautiful field of wildflowers. So glad they're preserving this area too. I bet it was just beautiful to stand there and gaze across these fields. Love that blue sky too. Thank you for sharing this through your eyes.
