When I walked by this small gospel group performing at the Spirit of West Festival they were singing probably my favorite gospel tune of all. It's called "An Uncloudy Day", & I've heard many people do it in the past, but the one I always think of is Willie Nelson. I think he sings this at every concert he does........ Here are some of the lyrics: ........................................................... O they tell me of a home far beyond the skies, O they tell me of a home far away; O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise, O they tell me of an uncloudy day. O the land of cloudless day, O the land of an unclouded day, O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise, O they tell me of an uncloudy day. ......................... This wraps up my Spirit of the West series and I want to thank everyone for viewing & commenting on it. I had more fun with this one that any I've ever done, and I think a lot is due to everyones great & usually funny comments!! Thanks so much!! Your all the best! ~(Sheriff) Dan.. C);-)

This is a lovely finale for the series Dan with clarity and great color. You've truly done a great job with this series and it has been such fun waiting to see what you'd come up with next. Great sense of humor and wonderful posts. Very well done and so glad you brought us these smiling moments.

You got it wrong Sheriff Dan.................THANK YOU. I mean that wholeheartly Dan, you gave us the good times with just a little serious thrown in because the old west really was a pretty tough time to live with alot of hardship. So no Dan you got it wrong, thank you my friend. By the way I'm still waitin' for my deputy badge, you said it was at Darla's house and she dang near shot me when I knocked on the door. Maybe she wouldn't do that ifun I had my badge.LMAO Take care buddy enjoyed every minute. Deputy John Oh and I know the song, it's one of the best.

Yes, I agree, Sheriff Dan - thank you for bringing this series to US. This is a grand image to wrap up a wonderfully interesting walk through the past and seeing the talented artists. But of course, that mooning gal -she can't be beat!! I've never heard this song before but the lyrics are neat. I'm gonna clone in some clouds, though - I'm not ready to go!! LOL

A perfect way to end the series Sheriff Dan & a beautiful song also. A very nice image. I loved every minute of it ... it was so much fun & I know you had fun presenting it. I just may have to get out to SD in person to see the festival. We could do a "duo series" (has that ever been done on Caedes before? ... could be a first). LOL. Thank you so much for sharing this experience & I think you better give Deputy John his badge ... on second thought ... hmmmmmm. LOL.

Splendid of you Dan to end with a song, especially such a lovely one as this. I don't think I've ever heard it sung before. Wonderful series. Keep that book in mind.,

well I really enjoyed those photographs Dan! They were excellent all of them and I laughed at everyone of them - you have a talent for writing amusing narrative! Maybe sometime we will get audio capability in the chat room here and you can give us a rendition of your favourite song! lol! ...and another very good photograph above - I feel like I have been watching the whole show! c):-)

I just love the outfit the lady on the left is wearing. Very pretty. I kind of hate to see this end Dan and I have enjoyed each and every post so much. You were the one that brought them to life with your wit and humor. A job well done Sheriff Dan.

See, I've learned more new and interesting things! I've never heard of this gospel song but will do my best to hunt the Nelson version down and give it a listen.

Great clarity on this one Dan and a fine way to end your series :)

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand. ~Margery Williams The Velveteen Rabbit~
