This is another shot of a Humming Bird Moth, or more correctly, as I found on a web site, it is a Whitelined Sphinx Hummingbird Moth. It seemed like some did not have as colorful markings as others. Hard to tell on this one since it is a side view, but if I had to guess I would say the females are not as colorful as happens in nature quite often. Another great close up of that fellow. I used to think these were humming birds until I got closer to one. That proboscis of his is really long. Get a small feeder for the hummingbirds, Dan. Until I got one, I thought the hummers only came by once in awhile, but with a feeder, I see them throughout the entire day, even after sundown sometimes!
