I know, I know, rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Just had to drop in and show everyone I was still alive & kicking. I even remembered how to run my camera (although it took me a few tries to get it pointed the right direction). lol Hope you've all been good in my absence! This shot is from my recent vacation in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It's a small lake called Sylvan near Custer State Park. The natural rock formations surrounding it are beautiful! Hope you enjoy..and be kind to the new guy here. lol I may even share a few more with you in the near future! C):-)

I saw this same lake a few years ago, but a truck got in my way when I tried taking a picture. You did a great job capturing it. I like the way the rocks in the background look like they are melting into the water. Great reflections!

Boy Howdy, Sheriff...hasn't been the same since you went AWOL..

Looks like you've been doing more than letting your camera gather dust, my friend. This is one heck of a comeback pic.

I hobbled your horse, so you won't be getting too far too fast!

LOL

Howdy there, Dan. I wondered when you were coming back! Great to see you again! Fantastic image you brought us on your return with those beautiful blues of water and sky and the cloud reflections and the wonderful rock formations and pine trees. What a beautiful place those Black Hills must be!

Oh here is the Lake again. I'm so glad you posted this one along with the other one too Dan. Sure does bring back tons of memories for me. I loved that whole area. Its strange I would end up in Oregon, it is so much like the Black Hills. I just love how you got the reflections of the clouds in the water. All in all its a gorgeous photo my friend. Verena
