kimsoosun, I think you were on to something with this shot. Black and white always adds emotion and moodiness to a picture. You may have considered composing the picture from more of an angle. That may not have been possible due to any restrictions or natural limitations of movement allowed by the circumstances. But, more of angle would have given you depth and action. From where you took this, it was pretty much straight-on and thus a flatter look. You have good detail and focus. I am looking forward to seeing more of your work as time goes on. ~~ John
I'm of an opposite opinion, I think black and white detracts from this photo, as it does with most photos. I feel that the natural colors would add interest to this, whereas the black and white make it dull and un-interesting.
My first thought was that it was badly tilted, but looking at he picture it appears the tracks oare on an incline. Regardless it distracts me...I think Johns original suggestion of a different angle is the best suggestion (if possible). B&W has always appealed to me, although I would be interested in seeing hte color version as well. The clarity is noce and the level of detail is good, with a nice crisp ocus.
