This type of spider is my favorite...DEAD!. Hat's off to you Klas, great macro, great color & of course, good eye for a good image. Nice one. Thank you.

:) Thank you all for the nice comments. I've been so busy lately that I've had no time to reply at all. I don't know what type of spider it is btw. Thanks again. :)
I think it is a normal House or Cellar Spider. Thei're big and black and when they are dead the look like this one. I don't like spiders when I have to touch them but I like watching them. I like this photo!
Thank you Anna for the informative comment. I'm pretty much like you regarding this bug. I don't really like to have spiders crawling on me or touching them but damn, they are cool creatures. I just love how they look close up. ^_^
Incredible picture Klas. There's a subject, but not in the center. It seems like there is an horizon, though not horizontal. It's a very original picture, or should I say art? It would be a beautiful painting. Second insect in my fav's!
I'm not sure I would call it art either but I'm utterly flattered by your comment Godfried. ^_^ I guess I'm rather blind to my own good and bad sides as a photographer. This is a typical shot for me I'd say. Off center is one of my main ground rules. The horizon effect is a sideeffect from the lighting but it gives a nice touch in this shot.
This is a nightmare for those arachnofobics x) Works great as a wallpaper. The spider stands out nicely. The colourscheme is too "banana" for my taste...
Hehe... I understand what you mean. I didn't alter the colors that much in post processing... I guess one could have done it differently. Thanks for the feedback. :)
I like this capture, but am not a fan of spiders. Your composition is well done and good clearness. Nice shadow reflection of this unfortunate spider. The background of the vibrant yellow is a good choice with the brown spider color :) And is that a stormy sky at the top of the image? Very good job Klas :*^)
