(I would be very happy if anyone could tell me what kind of bush it is...)

Interesting bush, and no I don't know the name of it. I do like the way you shot it though. That one leaf set in perfect focus and then dropping back to a wonderful melange of color. It almost has a Mexican hot pepper flavor to it with the green, yellow, orange and red. Great wallpaper, Klas.

Very beautiful fall color Klas. It looks very similar to Labrador Tea which is native to British Columbia. But, I don't think that is quite what this is becuase of the spines. I would guess it to be a type of holly?)

Fantastic shot. The out of focus bacjground contrasts beautifully against that in focus foreground. Really stunning shot, a different autumn photo which is nice to see.

Isn't Mother Nature's color palette awesome? What a cool looking image this is Klas. The leaves are glossy which adds a sepacila touch to the image. I have no idea what type of bush it is though. You have shown Mother Nature well here. Thank you :~)

Thank you all for commenting. I got more great comments then I expected, but rather much lower rating then expected too. Ah, well. That's just how it is. ^_^

Hi Guy. What a gorgeous range of color and beautiful healthy plant you found. Do you have more access to this one? If so, perhaps since there is so much here and the leaves are so tiny and clustered, a clear full shot may make it a nicer wallpaper carpet? I don't know, but I sure wouldn't change the time of day or lighting. That's just glorious! ;) Knew it was yours too. ;)

Guy? ^_^ Ok, anyways... Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. A clear full shot, you say. Revolutionary step for me. I didn't even consider it since I felt it would make the image pretty messy in the composition, but I've been known to be pretty wrong before. (More a rule then an exception in some respects. ^_^) I'll see next time. That will be in about one year. ;)

HI Klas
You never get what you want or think to deserve.
Thats life isn't it?....The images you personaly like best, others don't like and the other way around.
And voting around here isn't reflecting the quality of a shot.
Maybe we should pay more attention to the amount of downloads.
On the same time I think people who download could be more generous and vote.
But he...Who Am I.
Still Klas....there are so many among us who like you works.
And for this one...I do like, but it might have been a little bit sharper.
In m..h.o. the part which is in focus is to small.

Thank you Paul for the comment. I know what you mean. I don't consider this to be *that* bad rating though. ^_^ I've seen much worse on pieces I liked far better.

I hear you on the DOF issue. I'll see the next time the opportunity comes up for a similar shot. I was trying to accentuate that particular branch of the bush in order to make the composition more visually pleasing. ^_^ I guess there will always be different opinions on those kind of things. :)

I like this one... however, I would have pushed the plane of focus a bit further away (toward the center of the leaf thingy)... I think that's what screwed your scores ;)
(btw, I know exactly how you feel about that... :D )
