I very much like the feel of this picture! The color is amazing and the buildings in the background have a nice silhouette look to them.

I have been asked to comment on this. I think photography has moved on a lot since the original was taken, and to be honest I do not think the scan was very successful as the picture is quite indistinct and has a lot of colour noise. The tilted lower line of building leaves the viewer off balance. The C-index says it all. Having said all that, the idea of scanning in old pictures is a good one, so at least we do not lose them, I just do not think this picture worked well in terms of producing a picture that is of interest to a wider audience as a desktop.

I agree with coram9 .. great shot, amazing colors, but it's really grainy .. I'm sure the "un-scanned" version would be lovely.
