A study in contrast. The ship in distance is capturing the golden glow of the Michigan's late afternoon, Upper Peninsula sunset. The trees and brush in the foreground frame the composition and focuse the eye on the intended object of the shot. Shot direction is East by South East, July 15, 2007

Good catch. Especially well done considering the distance the ship is from the foreground. Don't we all wish we had super tele-photo lenses at times like this? Oh well, we do with what we have. Very well done!

G'day Kenneth, the light on the ship is great. I'd straighten the horizon line and shift it closer to the top third of the image to max the balance but other than that I love the colours and the variety of textures in this.

Interesting, but the shot looks a little dark.

Life isn't about the number of breaths you take, it's about the moments that take your breath away.
