One of my friends was a historian at the parthenon for several years. If you had a chance to go inside, many of the large international photographs were taken by him. . . He actually sparked my interest in photography.

I didn't get a chance to go inside, it was already closed for the day. :-( I was only up there a couple days on business - I hope to get to visit again.

Why does Nashville have such an affiliation with Greece?

We are known as the "Athens of the South" because we have so many colleges and universities.

AHHHH! Now I get it. I had seen the reference to "Athens of the South" but it hadn't clicked on why. Thanks!

In midst of nothing, something is. So I ask, "What is this?" Answers come from all around. And I hear, without a sound.

has an eery bleached out quality to it which speaks of the maturity of antiquity yet strangly not out of place on a modern laptop screen, interesting juxtaposition
thanks for this one

Notes:
Cut out very boring blank sky
Added layer of blue sky
Cut out distracting landskaping and handrails
Rubber stamped over people by column
Selected grass and adjusted color saturation for both mid tones and shadows.

New Images is named Parthenon in Color
