If you ever shoot another image with similar subject material, move to the right or left and use the tree as a frame to one side. Also, crouch lower so you don't block out so much of the prime subject. A step or two to the right, and a slightly lower angle would have accomplished it in this shot.
Doug's suggestion is very good. The tree should help frame the photo, not be the focus of attention when there is such a beautiful historical building to admire.
