This is just fabulous..the fine color used here really stands out to me Lauren, the sharp definition used for this is outstanding. You go girl!! I am soooo liking this!
"Minimilistic?" First, I think that's "minimalistic," and, second, I don't view your work that way at all! <G> You work stands out and demands to be noticed, Lauren! This is an incredible flame! Nice job! Wen
Over and around the time space continuum, we glide, inside and outside of reality. We are not what we seem...or are we? Above and beyond what you know, turning time upside-down, stealthily moving....we exist.
This is spare and modern and somewhat monochromatic and perhaps minimalistic, but it has so much movement and flow and such great lines...well, it ceases to appear minimal. It becomes big and bold and striking, instead. It's a beautiful flame, Lauren. Very nice work.
"The contemplation of things as they are, without substitution or imposture, without error or confusion, is in itself a nobler thing than a whole harvest of invention."
Francis Bacon
Lauren, how gorgeous. I really like stuff that's simple but elegant, and you've achieved that very well here. *pop into the favorites and desktops it goes*
Ahhh Lauren... my Apophysis mentor, you have really done a good job here (as usual). I, grasshopper, is humbled and has so much to learn. ;) This really deserves more than a c-index in the 40s!
Oh Lauren ... Lauren ... this is such an elegant flame.
Really quite beautiful. Oh, I have had my eyes on your expanding gallery of goodness ... rest assured. Just been sending out some love to some of the lesser attended galleries. My apologies. Sincerely.
Love to look at this one, as well as Heartsongs. I know that these words can sometimes get overused, but, they are truly operative in this case ... wonderfully peaceful to the visual senses and soul.
And talk about soul? Your titles alone could not provide better directions to the viewing audience in setting the stage. They are almost as good as your art. Truly. Great intuition in discerning the perfect words to accompany your offerings and quite astoundingly poetic takes on your works.
And I quote, "iced lavender gradient." I simply cannot say it any better, although I could ... could try to test the capacity of the servers' storage. :oP
I really, really like this. You have used the full space, yet, with no need to completely fill in that space, to produce a fully rendered work of art. Nice.
Hey, I appreciate it!!! More than enough, since it will spend a few days on my dt... But all joking aside, it is a very nice fllame. love the palette and the shapes.
Beautiful. I really like the simple elegance of this, the soft, understated colouring and the concept as encapsulated in the title.
I wondered, looking at it knowing the title, if you had thought about putting a star or space scene behind the flame. I'm not sure if that would work - it would have to be very subtle so as not to distract from the fractal, but I guess the title made me think about it - this highway seems to be a long way from anyway it might take people from or to. Some bits have to be like that, perhaps. Rambling now... just a thought.
ps~~~ florida was great!! :)
