With stars, it gives depth to the peice. Without stars, it would still be a good design, but I don't think as good with the stars. It does kind of remind me of that movie except it looks more like a space phenomenon and not a space craft.

The starfield helps make it, I agree, though if you'd zoomed in on your image & given it more "importance" it would've been cool too, IMO. Nicely illuminated & a really great design !
