This was a picture I took of some roses I got from a guy on our first date. All I did was use the chalk and charcoal sketch effect. May not be alot of complicated stuff done to it but its pretty all the same to me.

You know what? You're right, this is a very pretty image. This lended itself quite nicely to this effect.

I have to disagree with .gdp88 about the background; it is my favourite part of this picture. This shot has an almost Andy Warhol feel to it, in that it has alot of "machined messiness" - messiness that become central to the artwork because of its connection to the media (ie the ink edges around a stamp, the graininess of an old photo, or in the case of a Warhol, the effects of a slightly botched printing job.) I appreciate your loyalty to the subject and the media.
