I really enjoyed seeing this series. The little girl and the roses make a very good combination. I guess the only thing that I wish for this photo is a little more light angling in on the girl's face. You could still maintain the darkening, end-of-day feeling and illuminate her face more.

Also, she is uncomfortably close to the edge of the frame. It makes her look crowded and jarrs the viewer's eye.

First, I'd like to say welcome to caedes. I know you will enjoy it here. There are many good people//photographers//artists and they are fun as well as helpful. I will take a look at your gallery...
I agree with the above. The picture would be so much better if she were standing away from the left side more and also the photo is so dark, it's hard to truly enjoy the little girl. V

I thank you both for you words of wisdom I appreciate it. You are both very talented and I enjoyed my visit to your respective galleries. I know it will help me evolve and appreiciate every word.

I agree that the lighting could have defenately been better and was dissapointed with the results..hopefully I can try another shot at it before the leaves are taken away by the park people.... ;-)

I might delete it from the gallery and upload another shot from the many I took that day.

Thank you again!

Nay nay...don't take it down. I was sitting here thinking that to me she has represented summer in all these photos and now she's reluctantly leaving with her last rose on her shoulder...watching as fall has finally taken hold and also I think it is the clearest shot you've had. That summer is so close to the edge of the frame is part of the story for me, and perhaps her face could be lightened up a little bit, but that can be easily done in a software program on the computer. I'm going to save this one in case you decide to take it down.

You've told quite a story with this series. Thank you.

EDIT: Okay..she's safely on my hard drive now :)

Good series of photos. Also some very interesting comments upon them from folks. I really think it all comes down to what the photos really say to the beholder. If you look at any photo strictly from its photographic merits angle one response is triggered. However, any photo viewed as part of a story of sorts brings about a totally different response. All in my humble opinion of course. The story of message of your series of photos has been well delivered in my opinion.
