great, great idea, and composition. mc escher would be proud. some light crop work to get that building on the upper left out of the frame, and some work on the lighting, and you've got a winner. keep it up! :o)

Had me scratching my head at first glance ... 'cause in thumbnail (even at full resolution) ... the visual trickery is subtle.
Which points back to your compositional skills. Nice work.
Some post work would definitely kick this one up that much more. In particular, contrasts. Might be able to control more of that aspect, if I am understanding Rob above me correctly ... if you pay attention to the lighting/exposure during the shoot.
No slight intended ... always a good thing to draw your viewers in and get them sharing their thoughts. Half the mission right there.
And you got me here, didn't you? :oP
Thanks for showing 'us' something different. It's good good in my books to push the proverbial creative envelopes.
On that note, you most certainly succeeded here.

Whichever and whatever ... if your image was 'righted', I don't think the visual intrigue would be as great ... as great. Still good, but this presentation is more unique and interesting to my eyes.
