I've had this little basket of seashells for years. I saw it on the hearth the other day and decided to take some pictures of them. Thanks to all that view and comment.

I love seashells and have a very small collection of my own. There's a nice feeling of orange and red captured here and not just the color of the shells, but a glow that surrounds the shells with their natural beauty while enhancing the entire view. I'm not sure how you got that effect, but don't tell me :) Sometimes not knowing everything about how a pic was taken leaves the mystery intact and then there are other times when I want to know every little detail as to why and how. Maybe it's the mood you've created here of the fantasy and the imaginative power of the sea that holds sway over us :)PJ

This is a wonderful reminder of being young and collecting seashells as you enjoy the beach in the summer. I still like to walk and look at the shells that the ocean has washed ashore. Sometimes you can find some pretty ones like you're sharing with us.I love the colors in these.
