This was about the best I could do on a zoomed shot. I sure had a tough time trying to find the right exposure to capture it when it wasn't fully shadowed. I guess if the exposure was correct for the dark side it was wrong for the bright side and vise versa. Most came out really noisy as did this one but I fixed it the best I could. I'm open to suggestions and all comments are greatly appreciated. Hope you enjoy! :)

This is great Lisa. Not one you can practise on, and you did wonderfully.

I was unable to see this in San Diego, the sky was not my friend. Glad to see someone got a really cool shot though!

I think you did a fine job with this most difficult of exposure jobs. You should be proud of yourself!

I know one thing, your photo was way better than mine. My dear old Nikon just didn't cooperate. And altho I got the sliver of the moon on the right, the rest of it didn't show up because the moon was almost totally covered by then. But it's good that you got this much, I think you did really fine.At least we all had a touch of a glimpse, well, for all those sleepyheads and those who had a cloud filled sky..:( Thank you for this shot at the moon..Verena

"Not one you can practice"...lol...a truer word was never written. I've tried a few moon shots myself, with a similar kind of camera to yours and encountered the exact same limitations so you have my utmost empathy.

Do you know what ? Your image is a success, even if with a tripod the clarity would be better. Thanks for sharing Lisa.
