I too am fascinated by old "empty" houses and wonder why they no longer house anyone. This house looks like many I've seen in the southern warmer climates. It's built off the ground to keep varmits and critters from getting in. I like how you've presented this house with it looking straight at us. Looks like it wants to tell us it's story. Nice post.

I love this kind of photo, as well, and always wonder what stories they could tell. Only one chair on the front porch suggests that atleast some of those stories could be sad. I also wonder if someone has been cutting the grass. Oh well, very nice picture and thanks for bringing it to us.

Definitely a story or two from this old house... I wonder what made them leave with the two easy chairs still on the porch...

I am always fascinated by empty old houses. Somehow itīs like you can feel the story it tells you, if you just listen. This is a very well captured photo of the house. Wonder, just like solita17, why the chairs were left behind?
