Palouse Falls is part of a remnant of glacial Lake Missoula. Located in what is called the scablands of Eastern Washington. It is a remnant of floods that occurred 13,000 to 15,000 years ago. It is estimated that the floods occurred 40 times over a 2,000 year period, caused by ice dam breakage.

Palouse country in Wa. is just wonderful for photographers. I had a friend who would take his Harley and just totally enjoy that area, and yes, he always had his camera along. I love the majesty you show in this shot. Very very nicely done. Verena
