I found this little wildlife park on Phillip Island in Victoria Australia.
All the times I have been there before and I never noticed it, birds and kangaroos abound in the lush wetland. I love it.
I agree with the bit of overexposure, and if you could take a shot of the boardwalk leading into the photo, as it takes the eye away from those beautiful trees as it is now.
Light here in Oz IS harsh and searingly bright. When I was in Thailand during the rainy season, all grey skies and muted light, I struggled to get my settings right. Sometimes nature is less than ideal for a photograph. I don't think this shot is over exposed, except in the sense that the Australian sun often over exposes EVERYTHING. He He.

With all the tree tops cut off, it's rather distracting. Try vertical next time. Here, it would accentuate the nature walk even more, and almost all of your subject material is vertical.
It's a tough subject to get accurate exposure, and yours is a good balance. However, it could have been darkened down a bit in editing without hurting anything.
Also, shooting vertical would have reduced the amount of sky significantly, and given you more accurate exposure.
To me it is a little light and probably could have been darkened some. More boardwalk and less tree exposure might have been better. I wonder how it would have been starting from the other end and shooting. JUst an idea. Thanks for sharing here.
